When you are starting out with PR, I love to ask in my onboarding forms what are your dream podcasts to be on. I want you to feel confident to dream big and put those big names on the table because a lot of the time, we get there sooner than you’d think.😎
I also want you to see the value in large and medium sized podcasts.
The Jasmine Star show, The Goal Digger podcast with Jenna Kutcher, and CEO school are some big name podcasts you may have heard of. A lot of times, they want to see your past podcast episodes and what you are like as a speaker. As you take on medium podcasts, you see building this portfolio up for them to see and trust your appearance on their shows.
I have one client interviewing next week with a huge podcast that has over 23 million downloads, was featured in the New York Times, and is well known. She was accepted on after we sent her speaking page in and showcases her value from mid level podcasts.
These podcasts I also find are more niched and my clients have seen more calls booked, subscribers, sajes, and followers from this level podcast on the week that it airs.
We are always working towards this big goal, but I want to break the myth that the mid levels are not as good of a feature. PR is a unique game where every feature is building and is a success as it brings more eyes to you and builds your expert status.
Let’s get you featured in 30 days and begin to build your speaking portfolio up so you can land the podcasts of your dreams.
